About the Soccer Camp:

The coaching staff is well equipped with a wide range of experience from playing on the collegiate level to coaching middle school to coaching youth leagues and camps. They are enthusiastic about providing a positive atmosphere where kids can grow while having a lot of fun. Children will develop their skills, learn about their Savior Jesus, and meet new friends. The curriculum starts with working on the fundamentals and advances children at their pace to grow in their abilities:

  • Dribbling, passing, and scoring
  • Heading, trapping, and body control
  • Defense, field position/awareness, and goalkeeping
  • Conditioning, stretching, and healthy habits,
  • Team building, positive encouragement, and healthy competition

Each day, all parents and guardians can sign-in their kids at the Living Savior Pavillion (see this map) at the Asheville location. There will be plenty of parking space in both locations, easy access to the soccer field, and comfortable shade. After registering your child, they will be escorted by their coach to their group. Children will remain with their coach, group, and other group leaders throughout the day. In order to sign-out your child, you will need to present a photo ID. If someone other than the registering parent is going to pick up your child, we must know in advance.

After the first day, bring your child to their group. They will likely know where to go as will you. Directions, rosters, and all other information will be provided at the registration pavilion to assist in any way.

What to bring?

  • Shinguards
  • Soccer shoes (or other shoes appropriate for athletic activity)
  • Sunscreen already applied (we'll have some on hand)
  • A water bottle will be provided the first day and labeled for each child.

What about the weather?

If there is light rain, the camp will still run. Campers can participate if they are comfortable doing so. If there are lightning and thunder, we will move all the children inside. The coaches will watch the kids until they are picked up by their parents or guardians, or until it is deemed safe to play. If the weather is uncooperative (downpour, thunder, etc.) before the day begins, activities will be canceled and parents will be notified as early as possible.

(As mentioned above, the registration is closed. Please contact the church office to be put on a waiting list. When someone cancels, we will contact and register those in the order of request received.)
