How it all started...
- It all started in the 1970's when some families in Hendersonville started looking for a church that was rooted in God's Word and established in the gospel of free grace in Jesus.
- "Our Savior Lutheran Church" was formed. They later started meeting at the YMCA.
- A church building in a neighborhood in Hendersonville.
- A new missionary was called in 1998.
- In 1998 this growing group relocated their mission effort to Arden.
- In 2001, "Living Savior" held its grand opening in Groce Funeral Home.
- With a new mission pastor and a new mission field, the ministry efforts started to take shape.
- They purchased this 4.3 acre plot with "The Grange Building" at 301 Overlook Road as their new ministry center and the future location for their sanctuary, preschool, and ministry efforts.
- Construction began in 2006 and was completed in 2007. The members teamed up together to complete the interior finishing and landscaping.
Expanding the vision...
When Living Savior began in the South Asheville / Arden area, no one could have imagined where we'd be today.
A new facility was dedicated in the summer of 2007.
Equipped with a sanctuary, ministry center, and preschool, the mission to serve others has only grown.
The preschool has expanded to the max in order to serve as many children and families as possible.

Where we are headed...
In 2017, Living Savior started a new location in Hendersonville. While expanding staff and ministry space, it became clear that we needed a permanent home to carry out our mission of sharing the gospel in Henderson County.
With plans to build in 2025, there's a lot of history behind us and plans before us. No matter what lies ahead, we trust in the Lord to bless the work of his people who seek to share the gospel of Jesus with all people.
