Blessed by the Cursed

The blessings we disciples of Jesus need are often received when our lives seem empty, not when they seem full. The joy we need is found amidst tears, not laughter. The approval we need is found when we hear insults, not compliments. The strength we long for is found in weakness, not physical strength.

Compared to what the world offers, Jesus' kingdom seems completely upside down. Yet in every circumstance, God's grace in our Savior Jesus is always sufficient, and in that we can always find delight.
