Rejection

Those around us rebuff many of Jesus’ teachings. No surprise, Jesus himself was treated this way many times. Yet he endured it willingly on our behalf. What is more, our Savior teaches us also to anticipate rejection, fitting it together with many other blessings so as to complete us. Even as we celebrate mission moments like today’s, our Savior warns us to expect rejection so that we rest our faith completely on his plan and entirely on his promises.
