Repentance

On the surface, it seems to our advantage to try and get away with sin rather than to admit it. Or we ignore our errors or pretend like they don’t have a lasting effect. But the same God who made our hearts knows the makeup of our hearts. He calls us to analyze what’s wrong so that we can remove it. Repentance – sorrowfully turning from sin – is not some flaw but a necessary feature that completes our lives of faith. For in turning away from sin, we find forgiveness and peace in our Savior Jesus.
