Spiritual Awareness

“Whose fault is this? Who should we blame?” Questions like these are often asked when we hear the terrible news that people have lost their lives in a catastrophic event.

At those very moments, however, Jesus turns our hearts back upon ourselves. “Unless you repent,” he says, “you too will all perish.” Then with his holy commands and gracious promises, he gives each of us the spiritual awareness to reflect on our own faults and produce the fruits of personal repentance.
